Land Clearing
Clearing a lot of growth, stumps, brush and leftover debris so it is ready for site prep. Often the first work that happens on a property and the work that tells you what you are actually dealing with underneath.
What the job covers
- Brush, undergrowth and overgrown vegetation
- Tree removal and stump grinding or full stump removal
- Old fencing, slabs and abandoned structures
- Debris left behind by previous occupants
- Material hauled off rather than piled
- Rough grading so the lot is workable
What affects the quote
- Acreage and how dense the growth is
- Size and number of trees, and whether stumps are ground or pulled
- Anything on the lot to be preserved — specimen trees, wetland buffers
- Access for equipment onto and around the property
- Whether the ground needs grading once it is clear
Every job is quoted after we understand the site. Photographs of what needs to come down, and of how a machine would reach it, get you an accurate number faster than a description will.
Common questions
Before you call
Can you leave certain trees standing?
Yes, and it is worth marking them before we start rather than describing them afterwards. Mature trees you want kept should be identified on site so the clearing plan works around them.
Do stumps come out or get ground down?
Either. Grinding is faster and usually enough if you are landscaping; full removal is what you want if anything is being built or paved over that ground.
