Commercial Demolition
Commercial demolition covers retail units, offices, restaurants and industrial buildings — structures that usually sit on an occupied site, share walls with a working business, or have a general contractor waiting on the slab. The work is as much about sequencing and protection as it is about the machine.
What the job covers
- Retail, office, restaurant and light industrial structures
- Full teardown to grade, or partial demolition where part of the building stays
- Utility disconnection coordinated before anything is touched
- Protection of adjoining tenants, party walls and live services
- Debris loaded, hauled and disposed of, with recycling where the job allows
- Site left cleared and ready for the next trade
What affects the quote
- Whether neighbouring units stay open and trading during the work
- Access for equipment — loading bays, shared car parks, overhead lines
- Hazardous materials found in the survey, which change the sequence
- Hours the property owner or centre manager will allow work in
- How much of the structure has to survive — slab, shell, storefront

Before you call
Can you work around a business that stays open?
Usually, yes — it changes the sequence and the hours rather than ruling the job out. Tell us which units stay trading and what hours the property manager allows, and that gets built into the plan rather than discovered on day one.
Do you handle the permits?
Permits are part of the job. What we need from you early is the property address, the owner's details and any drawings you have, because that is what the application is built from.
