Concrete & Asphalt Removal
Breaking out and hauling away slabs, driveways, walkways and parking lots. It sounds like the simplest work on the list and often is, right up until there is something reinforced, post-tensioned or buried underneath it.
What the job covers
- Driveways, walkways, patios and pads
- Parking lots and asphalt surfaces
- Building slabs and footings
- Reinforced and heavily reinforced concrete
- Breaking, loading and haul-off
- Material separated for recycling where the job allows
What affects the quote
- Thickness and how heavily the concrete is reinforced
- Total square footage and the depth of any footings
- Access for a machine and a truck to the area being removed
- Utilities running through or beneath the slab
- Whether the ground underneath needs grading afterwards
Every job is quoted after we understand the site. Photographs of what needs to come down, and of how a machine would reach it, get you an accurate number faster than a description will.
Common questions
Before you call
Can you get to a slab in a back yard?
Usually — it depends on gate width and what the machine has to cross to get there. Send a photo of the access route along with the slab and that question gets answered quickly.
Is the concrete recycled?
Where the job allows it, yes. Clean concrete is one of the more straightforward materials to divert rather than landfill.
