Service 10
Fire & Flood Damage Demolition
Demolition after a fire or flood is different work, because the building can no longer be assumed to be structurally sound and the timing is usually driven by an insurance claim rather than a construction schedule. Allied publishes a 24-hour line for exactly this.
What the job covers
- Emergency response for damaged and unstable structures
- Partial demolition of the damaged portion where the rest is sound
- Full teardown where the structure is beyond saving
- Removal of fire-damaged and water-damaged material
- Coordination with restoration contractors and adjusters
- Debris haul-off and the site made safe
What affects the quote
- How much of the structure is compromised, and whether any of it can stay
- Whether the property has been released by the authorities and the insurer
- Hazardous materials disturbed by the damage itself
- Urgency — an unsafe structure is handled differently from a settled claim
- Whether a restoration contractor is working the same property
Every job is quoted after we understand the site. Photographs of what needs to come down, and of how a machine would reach it, get you an accurate number faster than a description will.
Common questions
Before you call
How quickly can someone come out?
There is a 24-hour line, published at (813) 957-2150, and damaged structures are why it exists. Whether demolition can begin immediately depends on the property being released by the authorities and the insurer.
Can you work with my insurance company?
Scope and documentation for an adjuster are a normal part of a damage job. Tell us who the adjuster is and what they have asked for.
Is any of the building salvageable?
Sometimes a partial demolition is enough — the damaged section comes down and the sound structure stays. That is a decision made on site, not over the phone.
