Residential Demolition in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg has the largest stock of pre-1978 housing in Pinellas, and the bungalows off Central and through the Old Northeast are the ones most likely to need asbestos and lead handled before demolition rather than during. Lots are narrow, the streets are tight, and on the historic blocks the neighbouring properties are close enough that dust control shapes the schedule as much as the structure does.

What the job covers

  • Houses, garages, additions, carports and outbuildings
  • Full teardown or selective removal of an addition
  • Permits handled as part of the job
  • Utility disconnection arranged before work starts
  • Foundations and slabs broken out where the scope calls for it
  • Debris hauled away and the lot left clean

What moves the price

  • Lot access — narrow drives, alley-only entry, or equipment coming past the house
  • How close the structure sits to neighbouring property or overhead lines
  • Whether the slab and foundation come out or stay
  • Trees, fences, driveways or utilities you want protected
  • Age of the property, which affects the likelihood of asbestos or lead

Working in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg is the largest city in Pinellas and the most varied work in the county. Downtown and the Edge District bring commercial strip-out and infill teardowns on tight urban lots, while the older neighbourhoods off Central are dense with pre-1978 bungalows where a survey comes before the machine does. Waterfront parcels add seawall proximity and restricted access to the method.

Allied covers St. Petersburg and the rest of Pinellas County — all demolition services in St. Petersburg.

Common questions

Does the slab come out too?

That is your call and it is worth deciding early, because it changes both the machine and the haul-off. If you are rebuilding on the same footprint the slab sometimes stays; if you are re-grading the lot it usually goes.

What about the neighbour's fence?

Tell us what you want protected before we quote. Fences, mature trees, driveways and irrigation are the things people assume are understood and then are upset about afterwards, so we would rather have it written down.
